Проект «Пластика куба» – akvk+partners

Plasticity of the Cube

The main goal of the project is to place a modern school for 1100 students on a plot that has been reduced by 40%, and the dense high-rise residential development on the perimeter creates difficult conditions for insolation.

Scope of work:
concept of spatial and planning solutions, concept of façade solutions, concept of landscaping

Function:
general educational organization

Capacity:
1100 students

Year:
2023

Location:
Novosibirsk
In addition to reducing the area by 40%, the site has significant elevation differences, Therefore, it was decided that the building should be as compact as possible and five stories high, and that it should be moved to the eastern border of the site. We placed sports fields on the flat part of the site, and we designed the elevation difference as an amphitheater. This provides a space for socializing and watching your favorite team's sports games.

The overall massing and silhouette of the building reflect the surrounding multi-story residential development. The terraces are integrated into the fifth floor. The main entrance area is set back to create an urban accent in the square in front of the building.
Визуализация фасада
The laconic and structural appearance of the façades are due to the regular rhythm of the wide windows and the pattern of the hinged façade panels. To ensure the classrooms have safe and aesthetically pleasing natural ventilation, the windows have decorative panels, which resemble blackboards with stickers with students' ideas. These panels also add personality to the building.

In the planning structure, the classrooms are arranged around the perimeter of the central part in the form of an atrium amphitheater, which serves as a multifunctional communication hub of the entire school. The concept of a “community center school” has been implemented, with workshops on the first floor having independent access and can be used outside of school hours.
